What we fix
Whirlpool fits out a lot of builder kitchens in both our areas, so these are the machines the vans are stocked for by default.
Side-by-side and French-door models. Start relays, defrost timers and ice makers that stop filling.
Cabrio and front-load machines. Drain pumps, lid locks and rotor position sensors carry most of the faults.
Belts, rollers, elements and the airflow faults that show up as AF long before anything breaks.
Seized chopper blades, packed sumps, heating faults behind a blinking clean light.
Bake elements, oven sensors and thermal fuses that blow during a self-clean cycle.

Error codes
Whirlpool codes come in two halves: F is the system, E is the failure inside it. Once you know that, F8 E1 is always about water arriving and F9 E1 is always about water leaving.
One of these is not a fault at all. It is marked.
A code narrows the search — it does not price the job. We confirm the fault with the appliance in front of us before quoting anything.

What we did
Drain pump had a cracked impeller. Fitted a new pump, cleared the hose, and ran three drain cycles before signing off.

Chopper blade had seized and the sump was packed solid. Cleaned it out and replaced the wash impeller seal.
