Samsung appliance
repair

Samsung puts a lot of decisions in the control board and a lot of trust in its sensors. Most of the work is proving which sensor lied — before anyone spends your money on a board that was never the problem.

What we fix

Samsung machines we take on

Samsung model numbers change often and parts differ between revisions of the same machine, so send the number from the sticker inside the door when you book.

Samsung refrigerators

French-door and Family Hub models. Evaporator fans, defrost sensors and ice makers that freeze themselves solid.

Samsung washers

Front loaders and top loaders. Drain pumps, door boots, hall sensors and the balance faults they are known for.

Samsung dryers

Heating elements, thermostats and moisture sensors that end a cycle before the load is dry.

Samsung dishwashers

Leak sensors tripping with no leak, drain faults, and doors that will not stay latched.

Samsung ovens

Flex Duo and single ovens. Temperature drift, dead elements and locks stuck after self-clean.

Samsung stoves & cooktops

Induction zones dropping out mid-cook, igniters clicking without lighting, unresponsive glass controls.

Error codes

What your Samsung is trying to say

Newer Samsung panels show a C where older ones showed an E — 4E and 4C mean the same thing. The letter tells you the system, the number tells you what failed inside it.

One of these is not a fault at all. It is marked.

4E / 4C
Water did not arrive within the fill window.
Inlet screens, then the valve. Check that both the hot and cold taps are fully open.
5E / 5C
The machine could not drain in time.
Pump filter first — on Samsung it sits behind the small door at the bottom front.
3E / 3C
Motor or hall sensor fault.
The sensor connector, then the sensor itself. A whole motor is rarely the answer.
UE / UB
The load will not balance on the spin.
Redistribute the washing first. If it repeats on an empty drum, suspension rods or the sensor.
dC / DE
The door opened, or never latched properly.
Door switch, or a hinge that has dropped on a front loader.
LC / LE
Water has been detected in the base pan.
A leak upstream — hose clamp, sump, or the door boot. Sometimes the sensor itself is wet, not faulty.
22 E
The fridge fan is blocked or has failed.
Ice built up around the blade, then the fan motor, then the defrost sensor that let it ice up.
OF OF
Not a fault. The fridge is in cooling-off, or showroom, mode. No visit needed
Hold Energy Saver and Fridge together for about eight seconds to switch it off.

A code narrows the search — it does not price the job. We confirm the fault with the appliance in front of us before quoting anything.

Service area

Where we bring Samsung parts

Two areas, seven days a week. Samsung is the badge we see most in newer builds, so these parts are the ones most often already on board.

Recent jobs

Three Samsung calls, start to finish

Real visits from the last few months. Prices vary by model and by what the diagnosis turns up, but the range is honest.

Samsung washer drain pump replacement

Front loader tripping 5E every wash

Manordale · WF45R6100AC

The problem

Water sitting in the door boot after every cycle. The owner had already cleaned the filter twice.

What we did

Filter was clean — the pump volute behind it was cracked. Fitted a new pump and tested with a full drum.

$265

Parts and labour

Samsung refrigerator evaporator fan replacement

Fridge not cooling, freezer working

Amberwood · RF28R7351SG

The problem

22 E showing on the panel, milk going off overnight while the freezer stayed solid.

What we did

Evaporator fan had seized after a defrost sensor drifted. Replaced both and confirmed a full defrost cycle before leaving.

$410

Parts and labour

Samsung dryer heating element replacement

Dryer heats, then quits after ten minutes

Barrhaven · DVE45R6100C

The problem

No code on the display, but the thermal cut-off kept opening partway through a cycle.

What we did

A restricted vent run and a weak element. New element and thermostat kit, then cleared the duct to the outside wall.

$320

Parts and labour

About these prices. Each figure covers one specific repair on one specific model, on the day we did it. It is not a price list. What your own appliance costs depends on the fault, the model and the parts it needs, and we can only set that after seeing it — which is why we never quote over the phone.
