Electrolux appliance
repair

Electrolux and Frigidaire speak with a European accent — E-numbers instead of letters. The upside is that the main board reports faults precisely enough to save an hour of guessing, if you know how to read it.

What we fix

Electrolux machines we take on

Electrolux and Frigidaire share most of their internals, so if your badge says either one, this is the right page. Send the model number when you book and we will confirm the parts before the visit.

Electrolux washers

Front loaders on pedestals. Drain pumps, door locks and motor triacs on the main board.

Electrolux dryers

Heating circuits, thermostats and the sensor faults behind a cycle that ends far too early.

Electrolux & Frigidaire fridges

Dampers stuck open, evaporator fans, and defrost sensors that drift far enough to ice up a coil.

Electrolux dishwashers

Built-in models common in newer kitchens. Drain faults, door latches and boards lost after a power cut.

Electrolux ovens

Wall ovens and ranges. Elements, sensors, and locks that stay engaged after a clean cycle.

Electrolux stoves & cooktops

Induction and glass tops, igniters that will not catch, and control panels that stop responding.

Error codes

What your Electrolux is trying to say

The E-code family tells you where to look before anything is opened: E1x is about filling, E2x about draining, E4x about the door, and E5x about the motor. That alone rules out most of the machine.

Every code here needs a technician and a meter.

E11
Fill time exceeded — the drum never reached its level.
The inlet valve, or a tap only partly open. Check the screens in the hose ends first.
E13
Water has been detected in the base of the machine.
A leak upstream — the tub seal, a hose clamp, or the dispenser housing.
E20
The drain is blocked.
Filter and pump. On Frigidaire front loaders the door boot is worth checking for debris too.
E21
Draining took longer than allowed.
A pump on its way out, or a hose run with a sag in it holding water back.
E40 / E41
The door is not closed, or the lock is not confirming it.
The lock assembly, then the hinge alignment on a door that has dropped.
E51
The motor triac on the board has shorted.
The main board. This is one of the few codes where the board genuinely is the answer.
E64
The dryer heating circuit is open.
The element and the thermostat kit, replaced together so the second one does not fail next month.
SY EF
The fridge evaporator fan is reporting a fault.
The fan motor, or ice packed around the blade after the defrost cycle failed.

A code narrows the search — it does not price the job. We confirm the fault with the appliance in front of us before quoting anything.

Service area

Where we bring Electrolux parts

Two areas, seven days a week. Electrolux and Frigidaire dishwashers are built into a lot of newer kitchens here, so those parts travel with us as standard.

Recent jobs

Three Electrolux calls, start to finish

Real visits from the last few months. Prices vary by model and by what the diagnosis turns up, but the range is honest.

Electrolux washer drain hose re-routed and pump seal replaced

Front loader showing E20 twice a week

Barrhaven · EFLS627UTT

The problem

Water left in the drum every few washes, though the filter had been cleaned and looked clear.

What we did

The drain hose sagged behind the pedestal and held water. Re-routed the hose and replaced a worn pump seal.

$185

Parts and labour

Frigidaire refrigerator damper assembly replacement

Fridge freezing the lettuce

Crossing Bridge · FGHB2868TF

The problem

Fresh food side sitting at freezing, produce ruined every few days, no code on the display.

What we did

The damper motor was stuck open. Replaced the damper assembly and checked the sensor reading against a thermometer.

$340

Parts and labour

Electrolux dishwasher main board replacement

Dishwasher dead after a power flicker

Amberwood · EI24ID30QS

The problem

No lights, no beep, no response to the door switch after a short outage on the street.

What we did

Main board had failed on the low-voltage side. Replaced the board and ran a full cycle test before leaving.

$395

Parts and labour

About these prices. Each figure covers one specific repair on one specific model, on the day we did it. It is not a price list. What your own appliance costs depends on the fault, the model and the parts it needs, and we can only set that after seeing it — which is why we never quote over the phone.

Leave your details and we'll call back to arrange a visit. Include the model number and the code on the display — nine times out of ten that is enough to load the right part before the technician sets off.
